Located in Checa, north of the Metropolitan District, the Casa de San José offers spacious facilities designed for encounter and reflection. Its peaceful natural surroundings provide an ideal setting for meetings, seminars, workshops, retreats, and spiritual exercises.

The facility includes group meeting rooms with internet service, private single rooms with bathrooms, extensive green areas, a chapel, sports courts, a swimming pool, and a designated camping area.

La Dolorosa Hermitage

CRUZ LOMA

At 4,100 meters above sea level, at the summit of Cruz Loma, stands a small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. It was inaugurated on December 13, 2008, by Monsignor Raúl Vega Chiriboga, former Archbishop of Quito, and is considered one of the highest chapels in the world.

Inside the hermitage, visitors can find a mosaic of La Dolorosa made of granite, marble, and colorful stones, created in the Al Bagdadhi workshop in Damascus, Syria. It was commissioned by the Class of 1983 alumni.
