Greetings from the Rector
Welcome to San Gabriel Private Educational Unit, a Jesuit community that, faithful to its history and mission, adapts responsibly and with hope to the demands of modern times. We engage in a continuous process of transformation, where academic excellence is integrated with deep human and spiritual formation, always placing the person at the center of our educational work.
At San Gabriel, we educate young men and women according to the four “C”s that guide the education of the Society of Jesus: conscientes, competent, able to read and understand reality; competentes, competent and well-prepared academically and personally; compasivos, sensibles al dolor y a las necesidades de los demás; y comprometidos, conscious, ready to act toward building a more just and compassionate society.
We welcome children and young people from Early Childhood, starting at age 3, through Third Year of High School, accompanying them on a continuous journey of comprehensive growth.
Since 2016, our pedagogical approach has been implemented within the educational transformation project InnovAcción XXI, which promotes the use of active methodologies to foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful learning at all levels of the school. All of this work is nourished by a deep Marian spirituality: as a community, we live a special devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. Virgen Dolorosa, of whom we are witnesses to the Miracle of Love Miracle of Her Love,which took place on April 20, 1906, a sign that strengthens our faith and inspires us to educate with greater meaning, hope, and service, in loving and serving in all things..
