Person Model
As an educational institution that is part of the Network of Ignatian Educational Units of Ecuador (RUEI-E), both lay collaborators and Jesuits have undertaken a process of transformation in our school. We do so in historical continuity with the formative legacy received from Ignatius of Loyola and developed worldwide over nearly five centuries by the Society of Jesus, while also embracing the innovation we are called to advance through our daily work, in coherence with our charism.
We remain mindful that: “All the good in the world depends on the good education of the young.”, for this reason, we focus our efforts on the transformation of the person, who is both the center and the subject of our mission—because it is the person who ultimately transforms reality.
Thus, we feel called to collaborate in the integral formation of each person so that they may be:
Conscious
Realistic and Spiritual Person: A person who knows themselves and maintains a consistent awareness and experience of society and its imbalances. They feel called to see the world and reality through God’s eyes, discovering the goodness and beauty of creation and of every person, but also recognizing places of pain, poverty, and injustice. From this contemplation arises gratitude, and from gratitude the desire to commit to being an agent of change and transcendence.
Compassionate
A realistic and spiritual person: They recognize suffering and injustice and allow themselves to be moved by it. Their compassion is not superficial sentiment, but a deep sensitivity that leads to commitment and service.

Creative: A person who is capable of wonder, asks questions, and remains flexible in a changing and diverse world. They prepare themselves with the understanding that learning is lifelong. They actively participate in the world by shaping a life project for and with others.
Committed
Engaged and cooperative: A person of courageous action, who works honestly on personal growth and on transforming the world alongside others.
They embrace ecological commitment for the reconciliation and healing of the Earth, and a commitment to social justice—urgent needs that affect all people on the planet.
Open to the world and in movement. Through discernment of the most pressing needs of our times, they find ways to serve as deeply and richly as they love. They evolve from feelings of charity and compassion toward a mature sense of justice and solidarity, contributing to the transformation of unjust social structures.
